The Beavers have been chosen to host the Joseph Holt Cheshire T20 Finals Day, this Sunday July 16th, at Church Lane. With all four sides from this year’s Premier Division, the day promises to offer some high quality cricket.
The action will start at 1030am when Bramhall host local rivals Marple, which should be an intriguing game, given that both sides are well known to each other. The second semi final of the day will see Neston play Nantwich straight after, in a fixture that sees multiple players with strong cup records pitted against each other. Following the second game, the 2 winning semi finalists will play off against each other in the Final. This is scheduled to start at 5.30pm, but there may be a little flexibility offered to the day’s schedule should the FIFA World Cup Final be of particular interest to those assembled at Church Lane. The day’s winner then goes forward to represent the county in the Regional & National stages of the ECB T20 competition – which Bramhall famously reached the televised Finals of in 2016.
For Sunday’s Finals Day Event, Bramhall will be offering all day bars with draught beer supplied by Joseph Holt, along with BBQ food supported by the predicted dry weather. For those with split sporting loyalties, the clubhouse offers a TV showing the football, and an England success in the semi-finals may even allow a larger outdoor screen to be secured.
