Membership for 2020

At the December 2019 Annual General Meeting, a 5% increase to 2019’s subscription prices for all membership was approved. However, those who would like to renew (or apply first time) at the same cost as last year can do so if they complete the process before 1st April 2020. We’re continuing to use the Webcollect system again to process all subscriptions, so please head to and sign in or sign up!

If you are renewing your membership it should be straightforward because you will only need to check the details held on the system are correct. Once you’ve made your payment the system will allow you to keep your details up to date during the year, so any change of telephone number or email address shouldn’t cause a problem for the club keeping in touch with you.

The club takes its responsibility to safeguard its members very seriously. We are aware that a few adults have in the past used the clubhouse facilities and were not members. This is in breach of the licensing and insurance requirements for a private members’ club. We are therefore again asking all adults who use the clubhouse facilities regularly to become social members and any guests are signed in by a member. A book for this purpose is available behind the bar. It will not be necessary for opposition players and spectators to sign in because they do not use our facilities regularly.

In addition, we now expect all Junior members up to Under 18 to have an adult member linked to their membership. In order to reduce the financial impact of this on families, we introduced a popular £10 social membership for up to two parents/carers of any Under 18 membership category. Please note that social membership does not permit the use of the grounds, including the net facilities.

We have previously noticed that many junior members provided a personal email address. May we ask that parents/carers provide their own email address rather than that of their child in the online system. Please also update any medical issues and ensure contact details are accurate.

The club has a well-established, and occasionally used, hardship fund for existing members facing financial difficulties. If any member wishes to discuss access to this fund they should contact Membership Secretary Steve Driscoll in complete confidence.
