Welcome to Bramhall Cricket Club. Established in 1886, and steeped in history, we are one of the most successful clubs in Cheshire. Bramhall CC won the 2001 National Club Championship at Lord’s and were 2016 National Club T20 Finalists. The club boasts a thriving junior section with facilities and opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

Previously based in Bramhall village as part of the Queensgate Sports Club, the Cricket Club moved to a picturesque greenfield site at Church Lane, close to Woodford, in 1998. Since then, the ground has matured and developed and now plays host to Minor Counties fixtures of all ages. The facilities are some of the best in the county with a superb four-lane net facility, practice grass wickets and fully licensed club rooms, which are perfect for private functions such as birthdays, christenings and weddings, and are available for hire all year round.

We look forward to welcoming you to Church Lane soon.

News of Brent Wilkinson

We are sorry to bring you the very sad news that Brent Wilkinson passed away earlier this week after a brave battle with illness.

Brent has served Bramhall Cricket Club exceptionally well over the past quarter century, including as 1st XI captain, U17 manager and a key committee member. Brent was subsequently made an Honorary Vice President and was more recently Chair of the weekly Selection Committee before ill health forced him to step down. Brent and wife Liz have also been extremely loyal supporters of the 1st XI, primarily following son Simon in action, both home and away.
In addition to Bramhall, Brent had also served the Cheshire County Cricket League, using his wealth of knowledge in accountancy.

We’re sure you will join us in passing on our sympathies and best wishes to Liz, Simon, daughters Melanie and Sarah and to his brother David – all of whom retain ties to our club.

Brent’s funeral will be on Tuesday 14th January at 12.15pm, at St. Michael’s Church, Robins Lane in Bramhall. A function then follows at Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow. All welcome, with Bramhall CC ties encouraged. Family flowers only please but donation to Cancer Research UK are appreciated. Please contact a family member if you’re planning to attend to help plan catering.
