Members of Bramhall CC once again supported the JustHelping charity with the Christmas tree collection in early January in aid of St Ann’s Hospice and other local charities.

The cricket club was joined by 1st Hazel Grove Scouts and other local sports clubs including Didsbury Cricket Club, Stockport Trinity and Queensgate Tennis Club delivering leaflets in December and collecting Christmas trees on the 7th and 8th January 2017. Through the generosity of these groups together with local businesses and volunteers, we smashed the target of 1000 trees and collected 1339 Christmas trees in several Stockport postcodes and M20 Didsbury.

Steve Driscoll added, “Bramhall CC is proud to engage and support initiatives in aid of the local community and this year we managed to help raise a staggering £10,927 for St Ann’s Hospice and £2,736 which will be distributed to other local charities. We are also grateful to the many local businesses who joined us and especially our main sponsor Chrome Motors of Woodford who provided two vans and worked with us all day Saturday for what a tiring but most enjoyable day.”
