12th April 2021
We’re very pleased to finally be able to bring you news of our re-opening, ahead of the relaxation of some of the Covid-19 restrictions and a return to organised outdoor sport, leading to hopefully a full summer of cricket. The ECB’s Roadmap for the next few months can be found below.
There are, however, a few important items we wanted to cover, which may answer a few questions that you have been looking to ask.
The ECB has provided detailed guidance relating to return to outdoor organised sport. If anyone would like to read this in full, it can be found here. There is also a summary graphic available to view & download here.
Please click here to read (& download) the ECB summary of all measures that need to be taken before, during and after all organised cricket activity. It is important that you take the time to read and understand this document, which will apply until the next Government review on 12 April 2021.
Once you have read this guidance please confirm by completing the quick Bramhall CC questionnaire linked here
In line with this guidance, we are also publishing specific guidance for the use of the facilities at Bramhall CC.
We have undertaken a full COVID risk assessment, which will be reviewed and amended at every stage of the Government’s Roadmap. This is available to download here and we would ask opposition teams and match officials to make themselves aware before visiting our club for matches.
The ECB’s own webpage that includes all their latest guidance can be found at:
From today paid-up members will be able to use the nets safely at their leisure, outside of weekly group sessions. These are currently Tuesdays 6pm – 8.30pm for junior training, Thursdays 5pm – 8pm for senior training and Fridays 5pm – 8.30pm for All Stars & junior training. The weekly junior sessions will start in the week commencing 12 April.
During school holidays, it is possible that the nets will be in demand. Please be mindful of this and restrict sessions to 1 hour if people are waiting.
The following key rules still need to be followed:
– Whilst all lanes can now be used – according to updated ECB advice – all current Government distancing guidelines are still in force, specifically the Rule of 6 or Two Household Rule which applies from 29 March 2021.
We are also required to record the contact details of everyone attending the club. This can be done by the test & trace registration system, so we are asking all net users to use the NHS App and scan a QR code which will be available at the nets and in the windows of the Clubhouse. If you are unable to use the app, then please message Ian Milligan on 07946 110953 once you have finished at the nets to confirm the time and attendees. This does not apply if a single group is training, but only if more than one group is using the facility.
– The ECB still mandates that balls & equipment are not shared, and that sanitiser is used by all players, before and after sessions.
– Any Under 18 users must be accompanied by an adult.
– All users must be paid-up members, which is also an insurance requirement.
– Individual or small group net users should park outside the main gate and walk up to the nets. The gate should only be opened for organised training sessions.
Using our Facilities – Clubhouse
During the second phase of the relaxation of restrictions from 12 April March, the Clubhouse will only be open for the use of the toilets and any first aid requirements during organised training sessions. It will be necessary to restrict the number of people in the toilets, users will have to wear facemasks and signage will clearly state the number permitted.
During the second phase of the relaxation of restrictions from 12 April, it will unfortunately not be possible spectators to attend matches. However, the club’s bar will be open to serve drinks & snacks and guests can legally attend the clubhouse and grounds to consume these.
This does not apply to carers for people with disabilities, or adults needed to supervise under-18s in a safeguarding role.
Training sessions begin this week on Tuesdays & Fridays for juniors and Thursdays for seniors. Specific information on these sessions has been shared via the relevant captains/team managers.
